E is for Ezra 2 – An iPhone Theme for a Cause (Again!)

E is for Ezra 2

Aside from founding and running Because of Ezra with his wife and Ezra’s mom Robyn Matthews, Ezra’s dad Kyle is the founder of an iPhone customizing community called ModMyi.com. The second largest iPhone-related Apple community online (second only to Apple themselves!), ModMyi is a lively group of people who love customizing (modding) their devices to make them just how the user would like.

Part of that customizing is creating iPhone themes, or skins, which completely change the look of your iPhone. Last year, a team of some of the most prolific iPhone theme artists got together to create a theme called E is for Ezra. They donated all their time and had profits go directly to support Because of Ezra. To date, over $13,000 has been raised from the first iPhone theme.

This weekend at the annual iPhone jailbreak conference, Worldwide JailbreakCon, theme creator Tim Collins unveiled E is for Ezra‘s successor – Ezra 2. The release thread already has over 650 comments in 30 pages of discussion, and the theme is absolutely beautiful. Once again 100% of proceeds raised go directly to support Because of Ezra and our focus of curing neuroblastoma. We are so grateful for the support!

You can see Tim’s presentation of the theme (and wow does he know his stuff about what we are doing to help cure neuroblastoma!) in the live stream below. Skip to 21 minutes to start; Tim’s presentation goes until about the 39 minute mark.

To Team Ezra (comprised of Tim and the more-than-a-dozen artists who contributed to the creation of this theme) – THANK YOU SO MUCH. You are all amazing and we are honored to have your continued support.
