One of the founders of Because of Ezra, Ezra’s dad Kyle Matthews, owns a website called ModMyi.com which is a thriving community of Apple enthusiasts. Over 800,000 members are registered on the site, which provides customizations for your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and other Apple devices. One of the popular things folks do there is theme their iDevice. You can get custom icons, lockscreens, icons, apps, and more all by jailbreaking (free and 100% legal) your device. Now there’s a theme to benefit Because of Ezra!
A team of the most prolific artists in the community got together to create a paid theme they call E is for Ezra, which sells for $2.99 in Cydia on your iDevice (think of Cydia as sort of the jailbreak AppStore). Hundreds of hours of work have gone into creating the art in this theme, and the team is generously donating 100% of the proceeds to the Because of Ezra foundation. The Cydia Store, owned by Jay Freeman, has even agreed to waive it’s normal fees with this theme. A big thanks to Jay, Cydia Store, and all the awesome artists who built this theme.
