WHAT:

Bartosz, a freshman at Arrowhead High school, created Gold In September® after watching her twin brother, Jack, battle cancer for seven years. With Jack’s passing at the age of ten, Bartosz turned her grief into action. She became determined to turn the world gold in September, with gold and September being the nationally recognized color and month for childhood cancer awareness.

The G9 Penny Wars Kick-off Event will acknowledge and inspire youth leaders to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer through awareness, education, and fundraising. Childhood cancer is an urgent health crisis, even for those surviving. By giving change for change, we can empower youth to take action and make a difference for a cause that directly impacts their population and change the future of childhood cancer.
