Karaoke for the Kure is Welcomed Home in Tampa

Tampa’s first year seeing Because of Ezra’s Karaoke for the Kure event was a perfect evening! Held on what would have been Ezra’s fifth birthday, over 200 people filled the Ritz’ main room in Ybor City, Tampa. The karaoke queue (backed by Seattle band Rockaraoke) was full the entire 3 hours – with enough people still on the list afterwards to go another hour! We’ll have to get to those people next year. 🙂

Over $25,000 was raised to go directly to neuroblastoma research – bringing the total raised between both Karaoke for the Kure events to over $125,000 directly to research. We will post more at the end of the year as we continue to fund some incredible research and connect you with the scientists and physicians doing this incredible research.

We were honored to have many other neuroblastoma families involved in this year’s event – including parents of Bella, Tanner, Daxton, and Hudson. These incredible kids are the reason we do this – trials and better treatment options are directly benefitting children fighting neuroblastoma today.

It couldn’t have been a better celebration for Ezra’s fifth birthday unless he was there. At one point in the evening (pictured above!) we packed the stage and sang happy birthday to Ezra.

Plans are already in the mic for next year – hope to see you there, Tampa. If you missed us speaking about the event on television or radio, you can still check out those pieces! Also, please do watch and share the latest video we released at Karaoke for the Kure – showcasing some of what we do and why.

A huge thank you to our sponsors for this year’s Tampa event, and for all of our local supporters. You are helping make a difference – it matters.
