September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Spread the word, and help us beat neuroblastoma.
The Problem: Neuroblastoma
Neuroblastoma is the most common cancer in infants, a solid tumor. Every 14 hours, a child is diagnosed.
Although most kids get to remission, nearly half those kids relapse – and there’s no cure for relapsed neuroblastoma.
How We Will Beat It
Beat Nb drives neuroblastoma cancer research and raises awareness, making a difference in kids’ survival today. We want to change the story for the next family by finding viable treatments and ultimately, a cure for neuroblastoma.
We’ve built a national team of research and clinical collaborators to ensure kids across the US have access to these therapies, and created a consortium of children’s hospitals across the US to do so, through the NMTRC (25+ in total).
Ways to Help
There’s a lot you can do this September.
We drive research – that’s how we stop childhood cancer. Your dollars make that happen.
Tell everyone you know. Below you’ll find multiple images and statuses you can share. Please do!
We’ll be out and about in the community this month. Here’s just a few of the places you can come out and support.
ALL SEPTEMBER: The super cool Hidden Springs Ale Works has created a gold beer for September, called Ezra the Lion. our friend Justin Coppolino (who tattoos in Ybor City) created the original art. A portion of all sales benefit childhood cancer research through Beat Nb. You can get this 4.6% smash at the Hidden Springs tap room on Franklin, California Pizza Kitchen in the International Mall, Fly Bar and Anise in downtown Tampa, New World Brewery in Ybor, and Stein and Vine in Brandon.
ALL SEPTEMBER: You’ll see our childhood cancer awareness ads on the back of HART buses throughout town. If you see one – snap a photo and share it, tagging us @beatnb! Thanks for the love, HART.
Thursday, Sept 8th, and ALL SEPTEMBER: – Glory Days NFL Kickoff. All Florida Glory Days Grill locations are donating $1 of every Glory Days APA sale to Beat Nb, all September long, and giving a Beat Nb bracelet to the customer.
