Meet Talia – she’s got neuroblastoma, she’s 13, and she says makeup is her wig. This girl is awesome, and has over 8 million views total from her 150+ videos on YouTube, where she vlogs about going through neuroblastoma. Obviously she’s known on the web – and we’re just finding her now! Check out her YouTube page.

Race for Research – Des Moines

The Band of Parents, a neuroblastoma-fighting foundation like ours, is being benefitted by the Race for Research on September 30th in Des Moines, Iowa. Participants can sign up at Active.com for the run – which will be a low-key run with a registration fee. runstilettos blog

Parent Education Neuroblastoma Conference – UK (London)

A free conference on October 6th in London (hit the link for details) will pair some of the world’s leading neuroblastoma researchers and clinical oncologists with parents (who are all invited to attend – registration is free). A great way to wade through what can be confusing details of current treatment options, the conference is being organized byt the American Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation and supported by the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK. Speakers will include Dr Giselle Sholler of the Van Andel Institute and Dr John M. Maris of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, among others. CCLG

3rd Annual Logan’s Fun Day in Moray, Scotland

Sunday, August 12 will be the third annual Logan’s Fun Day event in Scotland. Set up in memory of Logan Main, who died of neuroblastoma in 2010, the fundraiser includes dancers, singers, and games for the whole family. The event this year will also be in memory of Olivia Downie, another Scotland girl who recently passed from neuroblastoma. 10 Bands Sign on for Charity Concert in Selby, North Yorkshire (UK)

A passionate 14 year old in the UK by the name of Gina Weaver (she has founded a promotion company!) has organized a charity concert in memory of Thomas Cammick, who died in April of neuroblastoma. 10 different bands are playing for only a £4 cover. All proceeds will go to Families Against Neuroblastoma, a charity which works with UK neuroblastoma families. Goole Howden Courier

Help Londyn Knock Out Neuroblastoma Benefit

Londyn Weber, who’s been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, was the benefit of an Iowa fundraiser/day out Friday, August 3rd. Being treated in Phoenix, she’s just turned two years old.  ConnectTriStates.com

Family Fun Day to Benefit Olivia Henson’s Hospital in UK

Newthrope, Nottinghamshire (England) saw a family fun day this past weekend to benefit Queen’s Medical Center, the hospital 19 month old Olivia Henson is being treated at. Diagnosed on Valentine’s Day, she is doing well in treatment. Ripley and Heanor News

4th Annual Splash for a Cure this Saturday in Virginia

The Ishan Gala Foundation, founded in memory of Ishan Gala, who died of neuroblastoma in 2008, is holding their 4th annual Splash for a Cure event this Saturday (August 11th) in Virginia. It’s at the ACAC Water Park in Charlottesville, VA. Tickets are $10-15, and can be purchased online. Sounds like a fun day! IshanGala.org
