Parker and his friends talk about his cancer while adventuring through the hills of east San Diego.

We've known Parker for years now. He's a thrill seeker who loves anything with wheels or an engine, and probably his two sisters as well. In 2013, Parker was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer, and went through years of treatment to stop cancer - and keep it from ever coming back.

He participated in a clinical trial Love Your Melon helped us fund, with a drug called DFMO which we hope keeps kids in remission. It's worked for Parker, who's been cancer free for well over 5 years now.

Parker and his parents started a foundation called Team Parker for Life, which helps fund the very same types of clinical research Parker participated in to help beat childhood cancer. The East San Diego community (and beyond) has rallied around the Shaw family to help so many other kids share Parker's story of beating cancer. It's encouraging, and we're proud to know them.
