WHAT:
Green Bay Packers Linebacker, Blake Martinez, will join students and staff of Christian Education Leadership Academy (CELA) in Pewaukee to celebrate the school raising $7,324 for Gold In September (G9), a childhood cancer charity. Martinez, who has a personal connection with childhood cancer, is scheduled to speak and take photos with the students. The school will hold an assembly to welcome the Green Bay Packers Linebacker. G9 staff and sponsors will be present to welcome and thank the students, staff and the school community for raising funds to fight childhood cancer.

Wednesday, May 16 2018
1:30 p.m. – School assembly begins
1:40 p.m. – Blake speaks to students
1:50 p.m. – Blake visits with classes and takes photos
2:30 p.m. – Conclusion

WHY:
G9 Penny Wars is a community outreach program designed to engage young people in the fight against pediatric cancer. All funds raised through G9 Penny Wars are used to support the G9 mission of increasing awareness and funding for childhood cancer research so that every child, everywhere survives cancer. G9 directly funds Early Phase Trials through 27 G9 Centers of Excellence across the U.S., bringing the most advanced and promising treatments to children faster.
