Braiden Prescott Raising Funds to Come to America

Braiden Prescott is recovering well from his recent tumor resection. He’ll be doing stem cell rescue soon, and his parents are trying to raise money to bring him to America to enroll on an immunotherapy protocol. WIGAN today

Summer Allen

Summer Allen is 3 years old, and diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Nearly 80% of children with high-risk nb relapse after treatment – and her parents are raising money to bring her to the states if that occurs. This is a sad trend – there just isn’t enough treatment options for these kids. Part of what we’re hoping to do is bring new treatments to standard protocol, so they can easily be sent out around the world as treatment standards for nb. Telegraph & Argus

Jacob Owen Hangs with Thomas the Train

Make a Wish UK sent neuroblastoma kid Jacob Owen to Terrific Thomas Land recently. Like Ezra did, Jacob loves Thomas the Tank Engine, and played with the toys constantly in treatment. Make a Wish Foundation UK

The Isabella Santos Foundation Carries on her Memory

Isabella Santos fought neuroblastoma 5 years, and died June 28 of 2012. Her family continues her fight through the Isabella Santos Foundation. We are so sorry for their loss. South Charlotte Weekly

Jamie Inglis Meets Jamie Oliver

While dining at one of TV chef Jamie Oliver’s restaurants, 6 year old Jamie (who has nb) got to meet the famous culinary king. Oliver has committed to helping promote neuroblastoma research and awareness, and will be making donations as well. Yorkpress.co.uk

Our friend Nancy Goodman, of the Kids V Cancer organization, has finally seen her Creating Hope Act pass! It offers drug comanies incentives for working on pediatric cancer drugs – something too few do. Washington Post

Team Will Treks Across the USA

Not to be confused with Friends of Will, Team Will’s namesake died at 2 years old – only 5 months after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma. 18 cyclists and 6 drivers crossed the US in 6 days, raising over $115,000 for children’s cancer battles. Boston.com

Team Hikes 16 Peaks in 24 Hours

Over 30 miles with 14,000 feet ascension – a tough walk to say the least. A team of work buddies made this walk, called the Welsh 3000, to raise money to support neuroblastoma research in memory of Thomas Cammick. Thomas died of neuroblastoma earlier this year. Goole Courier
