Kids – Why We Fight

Isabelle Touhey

In July, 2 year old Isabelle was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in Ecclesfield, England. She’s had around 2/3 of the tumor resected (surgically removed), but 1/3 was wrapped around her spine and unable to be removed. Isabelle is getting chemo to attack those remaining cells… Her mom Kelly has been participating in as many fundraisers as possible – raising money to support research into a cure. thestar.co.uk.

Braiden Prescott Coming to the US

After being diagnosed earlier this year with stage 4 neuroblastoma, 3 year old Braiden Prescott has been being treated in Manchester. They need over £250,000 for a treatment only available in the US, and while they haven’t raised everything yet, they’ve got enough to get this way and have treatment started! They’ve already arrived, and begun. wigantoday.net.

Summer Allen Fundraising to Continue Treatment

A family in the UK needs £500,000 for continued treatment after her existing regimen has run out of effectiveness. They’re raising funds now, with Families Against Neuroblastoma, a very cool non-profit in the UK which is a big part of these UK families fights against nb. brighouseecho.co.uk.

5 Year Old Tripp Stratton Gets a Disney Wish

Tripp Stratton has been fighting neuroblastoma since 2010. He’s currently No Evidence of Disease (nb’s term for remission) and has just received a Make a Wish grant – to Disney World! The family will be there for a week, which they say is a welcome change of vacation destination from New York where they’ve been getting treated.  kwch.com.
